Our 2009 Block party for the homeless and inner city children will be on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 10 AM until 2 PM.  We are currently collecting new backpacks, school supplies, and financial donations to cover food, and costs for water slides, dunking machines, snowcones, etc.   We are also looking for volunteers and a live Christian band.  If you would like to see more information or our up to date needs, please click on the Back to School Block Party page.

The July 10th Hallelujah Day at the World's Fair Site has been cancelled.  Please return to the website and I will publish the new date as soon as it is set.

In Psalms 40:2, the Bible says that "He will lift you out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire, and will put your feet on a rock to give you a firm place to stand." Then in verse 3 it states that He will then give you a new song to sing. I believe it is all of our duty as Christians to sing His praises for what He has done in our life. He is the only one that can lift us out of the pit and place on a firm foundation. I can lift you out, and place you in quicksand! But when God lifts us out, we are on solid ground.

On March 10, Amy & Kim, had the opportunity to tell the listeners of the Bob Bell show what God had done in their life. He also makes us step out of our comfort zones, and they both felt that today! But they did a great job describing their lives before Christ, and the new life free of drugs, prostitution, alcohol, and spiritual bondage. Thank you girls for being obedient to Christ, for allowing Him to speak thru you today, and being willing to step out on faith to maybe touch someone else out there listening!
